Little French Retreat + Veggie Zest
This post is about a small collaboration that can happen if some of you find it interesting. I am in talks with a retreat located in Lot et Garonne, France for a workshop on Indian cuisine. I will be teaching how to simplify Indian cooking and whip out vegan and gluten free dishes for your day to day menu. The dishes that you will learn in the class will be served for dinner, so you get to savor the food. The classes will be interactive - I will involve you in the cooking process so you understand and learn better and you are able to recreate the same dish in your own kitchen with ease. I will also explain the Ayurvedic significance of the herbs and spices as we cook.
The retreat also offers yoga classes in the morning and the place itself is a charming country home set in an enchanted garden that merges into woodland. Its in a beautiful area with gently rolling ‘Tuscan style’ landscape and mild climate. Renowned for its rustic charm, natural beauty and gastronomy. Close by are many medieval Bastide towns and villages, steeped in history holding weekly farmers markets and evening fetes. With the River Garonne, Canal du Garonne and River Baise, there are plenty of paths to cycle or stroll along.
The retreat can receive 6 to 8 people at once and the workshop will spread over 4 days. During this period you stay at the retreat, relax, attend classes, explore and enjoy the charming surroundings. You can find more information on the retreat at www.littlefrenchretreat.com
I am doing this post to inform all my readers about it and ask how many of you might be interested in attending something like this. If we get a good response then the workshop will happen in the beginning of August. We will give you more information once its official but for now we need to know if the idea excites you.
So if you think you would be interested in attending something like this, then tell us by leaving a comment on this post. The whole collaboration is based on the kind of response we get…so do give us a shout out :)
