A small announcement - affiliation with a good cause
Hello my lovely readers - today’s post is about my affiliation with a non-profit organization called Not So Fast - Food For All. Their goal is simple: TO FEED PEOPLE BY FASTING AND GIVING WHAT WE WOULD HAVE CONSUMED TO THOSE WHO HAVE LESS.
It all started almost a year ago - Shira (NSF’s Chief Founder) left a comment on my blog and I got completely inspired with what she was doing upon visiting her blog. Living in India with such diverse income levels and a sad government - watching people begging for money to buy food and watching people living in poverty is a big part of growing up for the citizens of this country. I could completely connect with the concept of living with a little less so that other’s can have more. I expressed my interest on being connected with the cause and Shira welcomed me with her arms wide open. I feel thankful and lucky to be a part of something that feels so close to my heart.
I am and will be helping the team of NSF as a graphic designer with all the brilliant design stuff that they are making. You can find me on their “our team” page.
It would be great if you guys could go and check out their page at http://wearenotsofast.org It explains what they are about, how you can help and can be a part of something so amazing. All the less fortunate people around the world can do with just a little more.
Here is a little brief on the concept behind NSF:
No matter what your status is, there will always be someone who has more than you, and someone who has less.

Lovely design. I’m a little confused. A 40 day fast? Really?
Hey Genie - 40 day fast is just one option. Fasting is personal. Some people can go a day without food while others can only go 2 hours. Pick a fast that works for you.You could fast as much and as less as you like. For example you could go without buying coffee or smokes (if that’s a habit) for a day or more and donate the money saved. You could even try being a vegetarian for a day or a week and then donate the money saved. You can even create your own fasts. Not all fasts are created equal but they are all good.
